Get to Know Dr. Parul Vashisht (“Dr. V”)
After going to school and living in California, it only took one trip to Texas for Dr. V and her husband to decide it was a better fit for their family. Her practice has now been a part of the Little Elm and Frisco communities for nearly a decade, where she has helped countless patients uplift their smiles while improving their overall health at the same time. At the age of 13, Dr. V received orthodontic treatment that dramatically improved her smile and boosted her confidence. Her dentist also had a great chairside manner, and the experience left a big impression on her. She knew she wanted to help people in the same way, and the more she learned about dentistry, the more it seemed like the right choice.
Where Did You Study Dentistry?
After earning her first dental degree in India, Dr. V went on to graduate from the UC San Francisco School of Dentistry. She then completed clinical mastery courses and also worked in a pediatric practice to improve her ability to work with younger patients. Now, she takes advanced training every year focused on cosmetic and esthetic dentistry so she can give her patients beautiful smiles that are uniquely suited to them.
To stay on top of the latest advancements in her field, Dr. V is a member of the Texas Academy of General Dentistry, the American Academy of Cosmetic Dentistry, and the Academy of General Dentistry.
Outside of the Dental Office, What Do You Like to Do?
Dr. V is married with two children and a goldendoodle, and most weekends, you’ll find them playing board games together or enjoying the outdoors. She likes to stay active by doing yoga and running (she recently did a 10k!) as well as cooking healthy recipes. Always interested in learning about new cultures and foods, she frequently tries new restaurants and even travels to different countries.
